1. How do I get on the School Board Agenda?
Our goal is to solve all problems at the level they occur. Sometimes problems work their way up to the school board.
If you believe your problem needs to be addressed by the board, or you want to bring an item to their attention, we ask
that you speak to the Superintendent first. If you still need to address the board, you can do that by submitting a request
to be on the agenda at least five days prior to a scheduled board meeting. We don’t want to make this a difficult process
because we do want to be responsive to the needs of our community, but we also need to make sure we get enough
background information prior to the meeting. If the topic you wish to address is already on the board agenda, there is a
portion of the board meeting set aside for you to voice your opinion; all you need to do is show up.
2. Where do I purchase season passes?
Season Passes may be purchased at either the high school office or the district office.
3. We don't live in the district but would like our kids to attend Lathrop R-II. Can we pay tuition?
Yes you can. Tuition is set annually at the amount we spend per pupil. It is usually between $9000 and $10,000 per year.
4. What year did you start the 4-day school calendar? 2010-2011.
We started in 2010-2011. Not everyone likes it, but about 90% of the people like it, or have no opinion on it. It is working very well for us. Click here to go to our web page with more information about our experience.
5. I'd like to use a gym or field for a youth team practice. Can I do that?
Sure, there is some paperwork to be filled out and you have to schedule the facility. Go here for more information.
