The Lady Mules Softball State Information
For the second year in a row, the Lady Mules Softball Team is headed to the State Softball Tournament in Springfield. At 11:00 am Friday, we will play Centralia, who along with us, Blair Oaks and Jefferson (Festus) make up the final four teams in Class 2! The winner of that game will play for the Championship at Noon on Saturday, while the loser plays for 3rd at 3:00 on Friday.
The team will leave Thursday afternoon at about 12:30 traveling first down Center Street so people can wave and cheer them on if they'd like!
The team will stay at the Lamplighter Inn North. If you still need a room, ask for the Lathrop Softball Nation Discount! Lathrop has already reserved 40+ rooms not including the team.
As a reminder, we are not going to have school on Friday, October 21st so that our kids, parents and staff can support our team.
The fields are located at 2141 East Pythian Street, Springfield, MO. Admission is $8 for anyone age 6 and over. You can purchase your tickets in advance at www.tikatap.com for a small fee. (80 cents?)
You can watch at least the Saturday games through MSHSAA at this link: http://bit.ly/2dOYNrc
We also believe you can listen to the games on KKWK - Cameron - 100.1
Lady Mules Softball Team Repeat as Sectional Champs!
The 2016 Lady Mules Softball Team defeated Sherwood last night 5-0 to advance to the Elite 8 of the State Tournament. We will now play at Trenton on Saturday, October 15th, at 4:00 pm. Admission is $7 for everyone 6 and over and no passes are accepted. The winner advances to the semi-final round to be played in Springfield on Friday, October 21st at 11:00 am.
Trenton has their annual Missouri Days celebration on Saturday which includes a big parade and a band competition with dozens of high school bands including our own Marching Pride who will perform at 4:30 right behind the softball field. Parking will be at a premium so either car pool or get there early in case you have to park a little further away than usual. Information about a school provided parking shuttle bus can be found here.
Click here for a press release from Trenton for more information on Saturday's game and surrounding events.
If we win Saturday, we are planning to cancel school on Friday, October 21st and make that day up on a day to be determined later. Even though we accomplished this feat last year, this is a rare occurrence, and should be celebrated as such. We will let everyone know as soon as possible Saturday night!
Good Luck Lady Mules

Surplus Items for Sale
We're taking bids on a couple of surplus items right now.
One "Hammer Jammer" for $100. A Hammer Jammer is a piece of weightroom equipment. Very popular with football programs a few years back.
For Sale: Dell Optiplex 755 with 2 GB RAM, no Hard drive or operating system. Built approximately 2008. Core 2 duo, 2.66 GHz (give or take). These are $10 each. You could buy a hard drive for less than $50, and we know of someone who would install it for around $20. So for less than $100 you would have a good machine.
Contact Mr. Fine at 528-7500 or firstname.lastname@example.org to bid on an item or for more information.
