2017 Spelling Bee Results
Lathrop R-II students in grades 5-8 recently competed in grade level Spelling Bees. The top three students in each grade earn the right to move on to the County Spelling Bee to be held in Plattburg on February 8th. The grade level Champions were: 5th Grader Hannah Michaud, 6th Grader Toby Daley, 7th Grader Brianna Lily and 8th Grader David Vogan. School Board Appreciation Week!
The week of January 22 - January 28 has been proclaimed School Board Appreciation Week! Our school board members volunteer countless hours each year advocating for our kids and making critical decisions to benefit our students. They establish the goals and objectives for our school and ensure that our school is accountable to our community. We would like to recognize our board members Virginia Barrett, Bob Burns, Robin Douglas, Matt Holsted, Darrell Morgan, Andy Noll and Jeff Wright for their service to the students, staff and patrons of our school district! The Little Mule Trail
Have you been wondering what the school is doing behind the Elementary? The Lathrop Garden Club has begun a project that the Elementary students have named "The Little Mule Trail" . This project involves growing a Butterfly, Bee, and Bluebird and Pollinator Habitat on the school property. Click on the title for more information.

For Sale: 17" flat screen monitors, various brands, $10 each.
For Sale: One "Hammer Jammer" for $100. A Hammer Jammer is a piece of weightroom equipment. Very popular with football programs a few years back.
For Sale: Dell Optiplex 755 with 2 GB RAM, no Hard drive or operating system. Built approximately 2008. Core 2 duo, 2.66 GHz (give or take). These are $10 each. You could buy a hard drive for less than $50, and we know of someone who would install it for around $20. So for less than $100 you would have a good machine.

Our Mission is to Educate every student every day using high expectations, rigor, relevance and relationships to achieve excellence! In our schools, our community or on the playing field, we expect our students to score in the top of the state in academics, as well as in activities. In the past two years we've had ACT scores over 30, Academic All-State Softball Players, All-State Football Players, State Wrestling Champions, State FFA Degree winners, Poetry Out Loud state contest qualifiers, National Forensics Tournament Qualifiers, State Solo and Ensemble qualifiers, a Superior Band Rating, an Excellent Vocal Music Rating, State FFA Degree winners, Trap Shooting Champions and the list goes on.
